With the beginning of the global 5G network competition, the fifth generation mobile network has appeared eventually. As a new generation mobile network after 3G and 4G,5G appeals to more scientists. And people think 5G will be much more different from the past network.
In many ordinary people’s minds, 5G means faster uploading speed, full signal and so on. Although these are not fault, these only stand for a small part. “5G will bring disruptive change and a more coordinated radio frequency.”the head of 5G network innovation center(support by British government)---Professor Rahim Tafazolli indicated.
This means all the city will be connected together intelligently, including long-distance surgery, self-driving car and other various of “the internet of things”.
So, how to understand the super-speed 5G network better? The key is to unit the radio spectrum.All the mobile data are spread by radio wave, and radio wave is divided to different wave band or frequency of different range.
Every wave band is reserved to different communication with different purposes, such as aerospace and Marine navigation signals, television signals, mobile data signals, etc. These bands are in charged by ITU.
Currently, the radio frequency is in a mass. As the new technologyy appears continuously, the frequency can be apply in different divice and applications is less and less. This will influence the speed and reliability of the connection.
So, ITU needs to have overall restruction if it would like to use 5G to transfer data, at the same time, they should guarantee the former existed signal still be used normally, such as 3G and 4G.
